Dear friends,
This is a quick update to ask you to be praying for us as we head to
one of our regional conferences.
We are excited to go to Madang, not only to have a time of fellowship
there with several of our bush missionary families, but also to catch
up with some folks we know from Edinburgh.
They and several others from the UK are coming to help lead and run
the conference. We know these folks through Carrubbers Christian
Centre, where Lesley attended for 2 years.
This is the church we heard about NTM through. Our fellow bush
missionaries, Daniel and Elizabeth Moore who work in Itutang,
discipling and bible translating a young vibrant church
there, are the link to this team.
We are looking forward to helping out in various ways, including
Lesley doing some physiotherapy in the afternoons.
We'll be staying with another family in a three bedroomed house, so
five kids and four adults, could make for a interesting few days!
The first school term here, has just ended, so we are able to link
this conference with a short break.
We've had a lot of sickness these past few weeks, so we're praying
for a time of rest, to enable us to go into the next term with full
health and plenty of energy!
We appreciate your prayers.
We have already started working on our next newsletter, so hopefully
that will fill you in more fully on what we've been up to recently,
when it gets to you!
I have included a few pictures of life in PNG. The last few months
have been the driest since records began on the centre back in 1982!
Our sports field at the school is currently riddled with holes as you
will see on the pictures. Please pray for the local people who rely
heavily on the food in their gardens growing. Due to the drought
nothing has been growing very well.
If you get a moment drop us a wee e-mail to let us know how you are
getting on!
Thanks so much for all your prayers and support,
Love from,
Paul, Lesley, Callum and Amy.
