“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” John 1:14

Christmas greetings to you all from a warm and sunny Papua New Guinea!!

Thank you for all your prayers, encouragement and support over this last year.

We have had lots of visitors recently which has been great. In the summer Paul’s parents were able to visit for 5 weeks and in October Paul’s brother Jonathan and his wife Rebecca were able to come for 10 days. At the moment we have Lesley’s parents with us for Christmas. In fact I can smell the Christmas dinner as I sit here and write this little note to you all. Yes indeed even here in PNG we are able to enjoy some good home cooked food!

Its mid afternoon on Christmas Eve here at the moment and everything looks very Christmasy... tree, presents underneath, Christmas decor...including some fake snowmen which is amusing considering it was 32 degrees today! Some of our neighbours have had their houses glowing in the dark for weeks now with their Christmas lights! Of course we enjoy all the festivities and I am looking forward to tucking into some chicken and ham in a short while, yet isn’t it wonderful to celebrate our Saviour’s birthday and remember how He came into this world as a little baby to live and ultimately die to save us.

We have had the opportunity to visit two remote tribal people groups in recent months where there are now believers and some of our co-workers working hard in bible translation, teaching/ discipleship and literacy training. We will fill you in more with those visits in our upcoming newsletter.

For now we just wanted to send you all our warmest Christmas greetings and wish you all a safe and enjoyable Christmas time with family and friends.

Love from Paul, Lesley, Callum & Amy
