The McKnights

Paul, Lesley, Callum and Amy McKnight are missionaries in Papua New Guinea, and part of the Kings Church in the Marshes family.

This letter was sent from them in November this year.

Please continue to pray for them and their ministry.

Dear friends & Family,

It's been a while since we touched base with you all, and we send you greetings from Papua New Guinea.
When we last wrote we were about to look after our Lae guest house for 3 weeks.  That time went well and certainly gave us a better perspective of the busyness of that kind of ministry.
We enjoyed interacting with all the visitors to the property and managed in the equatorial heat, although were very happy to return to the mountains where it is a lot cooler.

Life here has been busy as normal with school for Paul and work at home and in the clinic for Lesley.  Callum started preschool in August and has been loving it.  We are running it informally twice a week, so its a steep learning curve for the mums involved in helping run it.  Clinic has been busier than usual for Lesley as she has been doing some stroke rehab for a colleague her age who had a stroke in August.  She has just returned to the USA, and we are thanking the Lord she is much improved.
Paul is helping with our Spiritual Emphasis Weekend for the teenagers from 12-15th Nov.  He is in charge of the afternoon games.  Do pray for the kids that it would be a challenging and encouraging time for them.

We have had the blessing this year of several visitors from home.  Paul's brother and sister in law visited in October for 9 days and we all got to fly in to visit one of our tribal works here in the Highlands, which is always a great experience and gives us fresh perspective on the work we do here on the base, supporting missionaries on the front line.

On the home front, we have just heard that the renters for our apartment in Belfast have moved out, and so we would value your prayers that we could find other renters quickly.

Lesley's parents are due to leave home on Tuesday 10th Nov, for a trip to New Zealand, and Australia and also five weeks with us here over Christmas.  We are really looking forward to catching up with them.  Callum is counting the days and is already planning out what he can do with them when they come.  Amy will really enjoy getting to know her grandparents again, as she was only 9 months old when we saw them last.

Praise

For family visits
Gods faithful provision for us to be here
That many tribal churches continue to flourish and grow

Prayer

That we would find renters for our apartment soon
For the teens to be challenged and encouraged during their SEW
For safe travel and a good time for Lesley's parents as they come out here

Drop us an e-mail if you get a chance and let us know how things are for you!

All our love

Paul, Lesley, Callum and Amy
