What We Believe

The Bible

God: The Author of the WORD.

We believe the Bible is the written Word of God. We believe that although written by human hands it is God-breathed and God-inspired. Thus, we believe it to be THE established authority on

·         What and in Whom people should base their faith and
·         How they should conduct their lives.

The Person

God: The Author of FELLOWSHIP

We believe in the existence of God as a triune Being – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – as revealed in the Scriptures. We believe that the nature of God is wholly expressed through each of these 3 persons, and that they exist in perfect union and fellowship with one another.

The World

God: The Author of JUSTICE

We believe that sin is disobedience to the will of God, a falling short of God’s perfect standard for existence and that the consequence of such sin is separation from God. We believe that every person is naturally sinful from birth and cannot be made right with God by his own strength or ability.

The Plan

God: The Author of SALVATION

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became fully man and was born on earth. We believe He lived a blameless, sinless life and died in our place in order to pay the price for our sin. We believe that by His death we are made righteous before God and that now a relationship with God is made possible once again. We believe that this salvation is a free gift for all who believe in Jesus Christ.

The Commission

God: The Author of NEW LIFE

We believe that God has called us to a new life in Him, which includes leaving the old life behind and taking on a new life in Jesus. We believe in the power of the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ to empower us to live as Jesus did. We believe in water baptism as a symbol of the death of the old life and our new birth in Jesus.  We believe in the baptism and infilling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence and activation of spiritual gifts.  We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to spread the message of the Good News of what Jesus has done both in word and action, and to make disciples.
